The excitatory neurotransmitters are:

  • Serotonin
  • Acetyl choline (ACh)
  • Nor-adrenaline/ Adrenaline
  • Dopamine
  • Purines
  • Aspartic acid
  • Glutamic acid

 

Inhibitory neurotransmitters include Glycine, Histamine and GABA.

  • Tuberoinfundibular pathway
  • Nigrostriatal pathway
  • Mesocortical pathway
  • Mesolimbic pathway

Think: TNM is a system for staging tumors
